beautiful singing, hot playing & clever thinking women's trio from Australia
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $15.50

Wicked humor, hot playing, fabulous songwriting, and gorgeous harmony singing-all this and more are brought to the Freight stage by the bluehouse, one of Australia's premier live music acts. Since forming their trio a decade ago in a Melbourne pub, Samantha Harley, Jacqueline Walter, and Bernadette Carroll have gained attention and a devoted fan following in Australia and Britain (and if recent Freight appearances are any indication, they've got a burgeoning flock of admirers in the Bay Area as well). The bluehouse may win hearts with their hilarious stage antics and heartfelt songs, but the centerpiece of the trio's performances is without question the achingly beautiful three-part harmonies they bring to bear on their unique blend of jazz, blues, soul, and rootsy pop, which have led to many comparisons with the Indigo Girls. Impressively enough, the bluehouse managed to fund the production of their most recent ablum, big, entirely through advance mail-order sales. Come find out why!
