British actor Martin Harris returns to our stage tonight to channel the renowned author and holiday icon, Charles Dickens, doling out a hefty dose of Victorian good cheer as he reads from his famed holiday classic, A Christmas Carol.

Martin is probably best known to Bay Area folks as Ebenezer Scrooge, one of the star attractions of the Great Dickens Christmas Fair. He has long specialized in things Dickensian, with long stints in a one-man show titled A Night with Dickens and in the role of Scrooge in various productions of A Christmas Carol. Martin is also a well-known presence at Celtic festivals and renaissance fairs on the west coast, having spent 25 years singing and dancing as the court jester at the Northern and Southern California Renaissance Faires.
