Guitar virtuoso George Cole offers an introduction to the fast growing guitar style of Gypsy Jazz. The course will include information on gear, techniques, rhythm, lead, runs, licks, picking style, history, tone, and other facets of the style. Learn a Django Reinhardt composition during the class and start to improvise right away with a few all purpose licks. George taught guitar to Billie Joe Armstrong for ten years and has recorded with Chris Isaak, toured with Joe Walsh in addition to playing guitar and singing duets with jazz legend Keeley Smith. George now records and tours with the George Cole Quintet.
