Hey senior string players! Dust off that old violin, viola, cello or bass and join Cathy Morris as she provides a buffet of musical styles for you to play. This 1 ½ hr class will focus on a different musical style each week. Blues, bluegrass, jazz, Celtic and more. Technical practice on rhythms, scales, melodies and accompaniment plus reading, playing by ear charts and improvising in a fun and friendly environment.

Violinist Cathy Morris has a passion for sharing music with audiences of all ages. With a presentation that virtually commands the listener's eyes and ears she conveys her genuine enthusiasm for music and life! Combining contemporary jazz with latin rhythms, funk grooves, fusion, rock, blues, and even some cajun fun she has created her own distinctive sound. A s a performer you'll find her in a broad range of arenas, including concert and jazz festival stages in the US and abroad. As an educator you'll find her in front of and collaborating with literally thousands of students each year performing convocations, conducting workshops and performing her original music she's arranged for string and full orchestras, jazz band and choir.
