Three separate workshops culminate together in the final hour. Seamus Egan (banjo/mandolin/flute/whistle) will teach 1-2 Irish/original tune melodies - discussing ornaments, style and technique. Moira Smiley (Anglo-Celtic song) will teach a full song from the Irish tradition - guiding singers through ornaments, style and technique. Kyle Sanna (Irish rhythm guitar) and Owen Marshall (Irish bouzouki) will co-teach accompaniment of Irish tune and song.

For the last 45 mins all four members of the Seamus Egan Project and all students will join to put together the tune & song - trying arrangement ideas and enjoying the various textures we bring. All acoustic instruments and voices welcome (sorry, for space reasons we can’t have pianos). Some experience with Irish music a plus, but ALL ARE WELCOME.
