Kathy Kallick: My Route to 66
Kathy Kallick has been leading bluegrass bands since co-founding the internationally-acclaimed Good Ol' Persons in 1975. Along the way she has performed and recorded with the Frank Wakefield Band, won a Grammy and two IBMA Awards for her part on True Life Blues: The Songs Of Bill Monroe, and received a Lifetime Membership award from the California Bluegrass Association.

The song “Route 66” will be the encore, but the show’s focus is on Kathy’s original compositions. She’s written close to 150 that have been released on her 21 albums with a variety of musicians accompanying her. Obviously, some of these will performed with the Kathy Kallick Band, and the show includes several songs on the band’s brand-new CD (officially released on 9/19/18).
But many others were in the repertoires of earlier bands and special projects, and this concert will blow the dust off some truly remarkable pieces that haven’t been heard in far too long.

Kathy’s accompanying musicians will include members of the Good Ol’ Persons, Little Big Band, solo projects, and earlier iterations of the Kathy Kallick Band, and include:
• Amy Stenberg
• Avram Siegel
• Bethany Raine
• Cindy Browne
• Ed Johnson
• John Reischman
• Laurie Lewis
• Nina Gerber
• Paul Shelasky
• Richard Brandenburg
• Sally Van Meter
• Scott Nygaard
• Sylvia Herold
and her mighty current band:
• Annie Staninec, Cary Black, Greg Booth, and Tom Bekeny

There might well be others. And it will be a special evening!
