The Bug Family Band
The Bug Family Band
The Bug Family Band plays original folk rock for kids and former kids. They hatched in the SF Bay Area in 2010 as Ladybug Picnic, & metamorphosed into their mature form while recording their debut CD in 2013. The Bug Family’s sound is characterized by rich vocal harmonies, interactive sing-alongs, and clever tunes that kids and their adults can all appreciate! They have become a favorite on the family stage at High Sierra Music Festival, as well as non-profit venues, museums, and school fundraisers across the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Bugs’ second album, ABeeCD was released September 2015 and features recent crowd favorites like “Put My Helmet On” and “Goin’ to the Pool (When You Get Out of School)”. Come and sing, dance and move with The Bug Family Band at The Freight!

“I am loving ABeeCD. Driving the kids to school, I found myself listening even after I dropped them off! It’s like Phish and Sublime for kids.” - Melissa, Arcata CA
