Fun with the Bass - Developing Clarity in the Doghouse
Welcome to the Lower Regions! This class about the double bass will address questions pertaining to: how to hold it ergonomically, tune it using harmonics, right hand and left hand techniques. This class will help you create beautiful, strong bass lines to make the rest of the band sound great. We will be singing our lines, and work on melodic playing using pentatonic and other scales. We will work on soloing as an extension of the melody. Bring your tunes and questions. Class will be built upon and tailored to students’ levels and musical interests, and all levels are welcome.
