The Lonely Heartstring Band
The Lonely Heartstring Band
"The Lonely Heartstring Band, may well be a precursor of what bluegrass music will sound like in the future." - John Lawless, Bluegrass Today

Nourished by deep roots in the expansive canon of traditional American music, The Lonely Heartstring Band embodies the modern American condition—an understanding and reverence for the past that informs a push into the future. George Clements (guitar, vocals) Patrick M'Gonigle (fiddle, vocals) Charles Clements (bass, vocals) Maddie Witler (mandolin) and Gabe Hirshfeld (banjo) bring together their own musical styles to create a sound greater than the sum of its parts.

Combining soulful instrumental virtuosity with soaring three-part harmonies, their growing repertoire of original songs and compositions showcases not only their considerable talents, but a dedication to meaningful roots-conscious music.

Back on the road with their second album, Smoke & Ashes, The Lonely Heartstring Band continues bringing thoughtful, energetic, and memorable performances to audiences across the country and around the world.
Twisted Pine
Twisted Pine
Full of energy and surprise, wit and subtlety, the quartet Twisted Pine has quickly become one of the most acclaimed young string bands in the Northeast. Audiences across the US and the UK have been drawn to their forthright songwriting, lush harmonies, musical daring, and “charismatic appeal,” to quote Grammy-winner Alison Brown.

In its early days, Twisted Pine hewed pretty close to their bluegrass origins, but over time the band has developed a unique, infectious, joyful noise without limits, bringing the enveloping sound and pop hooks of indie music to an acoustic instrumental setting. While it’s easy to celebrate each of the band members individually, Twisted Pine is also a unit that grooves together. Intricate arrangements of swelling, syncopated rhythm and precise instrumental interplay generate something big and vital: a thick landscape of sound built on an organic acoustic foundation.
