Celia Ramsay
Celia Ramsay
Local yokel, Celia Ramsay, knows a few Bay Area folks you’ll be happy to meet. Joining her will be Eamonn Flynn, Brothers Luper, Autumn Rhodes/Tim Hill/Richard Mandel, and Leah Wollenberg.

Celia’s affinity for her Scottish heritage burst into bloom in her teens; that was a long time ago, and that passion has followed her throughout her life. As a singer of traditional music, her voice is captivating and convincing, and as delightful “in the old style” as with accompaniment. Listeners will understand why she feels that this music is not merely the territory of her ancestors in Scotland; these songs are about the universal human condition. She loves the lyrics; you will love her voice.
Eamonn Flynn
Eamonn Flynn
Dublin-born Eamonn Flynn first came into prominence playing the Hammond organ and piano on the movie soundtrack for The Commitments. Now living in San Francisco, he has toured and recorded as a keyboard player with Michael Franti & Spearhead, Elvin Bishop, Michelle Shocked, Pee Wee Ellis, Evelyn 'Champagne' King, Maria Muldaur, Finbar Furey, Honey Island Swamp Band, The Black Family, and Zigaboo Modeliste. He stepped out front and released his first solo album singing and playing his original songs in 2017 and is currently working on a second album that is due out soon.
Brothers Luper
Brothers Luper
Brothers Luper is a Celtic duo, and they have a simpatico that is the rare purview that comes of being siblings. They drive their music with a dynamic energy that invigorates old tunes with new and unique stylings. They are both pivotal members of the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers, as leaders of “High Strung”, the youth-faction of the SFSF.
Tim Hill & Richard Mandel & Autumn Rhodes
Tim Hill & Richard Mandel & Autumn Rhodes
As a first-call guitar accompanist, Richard Mandel has performed and toured with Jimmy Keane, Gerry O’Connor, Paddy Keenan, Mick Moloney, and many others. Richard’s pals Autumn Rhodes and Tim Hill, also steeped in the traditions of Ireland, pair Autumn’s heavily rhythmic and pulsating concertina and flute, with Tim’s relaxed but deadly accurate uilleann piping. The result is a graceful and infectious sound. Put the three of them together, and they are enrapturing!
Leah Wollenberg
Leah Wollenberg
Leah Wollenberg grew up loving fiddle styles from Bluegrass to Celtic to Balkan. After a weeklong workshop with the great Martin Hayes, she discovered a deep affinity for traditional Irish music, and though Leah studied jazz violin at Oberlin College, she has since returned to her fiddle roots. An employee of the Freight & Salvage, she's no stranger to this stage. She can't wait to perform in the space that is her second home.
