Octopretzel
Octopretzel
In a show as exuberant as their whimsical name, Octopretzel returns to the Freight stage to share exciting new material! The band creates engaging music, inspiring curiosity, wonder, and appreciation for the world we live in. Their skilled musicianship and magical way with children guarantees a dance-able, sing-able and fun experience for the whole family.

For six years now, Octopretzel has been delighting young Bay Area audiences with their colorful and inspired performances. Their shows feature handmade puppets, bubbles of all sizes, and at times hula-hooping Kindergartners. They have been known to inspire spontaneous kiddie mosh-pits, while still maintaining focus and interactive participation. Their songwriting presents imagery of things such as spinning tops, roly polies and whimsical imaginary creatures. From unique interpretations of traditional folk classics to fun and catchy originals, this is music that parents love and has kids asking for more! The band's instrumentation features the mandolin, marimba, the middle-eastern tambourine (or riq), African drums, and many other unique sounds from around the world.

Your Song My Song
Your Song My Song returns to The Freight with their collaborative musical, WATER, for another morning of rock and roll about the ocean, puppets, kiddo guest singers, sharks and whales. Come be part of the adventure!

In their wildly interactive shows for children and families, silly six-piece band Your Song My Song sings you through watery adventures, recycling kid revolutionaries, classic children's books, jungle expeditions, and deep sea dives! Singer and ukulele player Jaime Lee Currier weaves tales of friendship, love, and learning, while guitarist Eric Hart, violinist Rainbow Rubin, sax player, Hank Ibser, bassist Joe Shaughnessy, and drummer Nick Jackson keep up a rockin beat. Come sing along and laugh, shout, dance, and imagine with Your Song My Song and their classic kid hits, interactice improv songs, and new original story adventure songs which they've performed in a multitude of parks, schools, camps, libraries, clubs, festivals and museums throughout Northern California.

Your Song My Song's first not-JUST-for kids CD, Off The Blue, features "What Up Kids," "Slippery Fish," and a rousing interactive rendition of "Old MacDonald”.
